Volatile and Non Volatile Memory

Volatile Memory: It is a type of memory that loses its content when the power is turned off. The primary example is the computer's main memory, which is made up of dynamic RAM (DRAM) and static RAM (SRAM) chips. It requires power to maintain the stored information. In other words, it needs power to reach the computer memory. Volatile memory retains the information as long as power supply is on, but when power supply is off or interuppted, the stored memory is lost.
